Panel 1: Johnny is rapidly immolating.
Johnny: I know this looks bad. But it feels worse.

Panel 2: A panicked Natasha grabs the sprayer hose from the sink and sprays it at Johnny.
Natasha: HANG ON! I'LL SAVE YOU!

Panel 3: A panicked Evangeline stops playing.
Evangeline: NO DON'T!

Panel 4: A huge cloud what goes "POOMF"

Panel 1:
Natasha: Uh, I think it's best if she keeps playing music.
Johnny: Are you sure? This really hurts.

Panel 2:
Natasha: Well, let's keep your mind off it. You're from England, right? What's that like?

Panel 3:
Johnny: It's cold and wet. Which actually sounds kind of nice right now.
Natasha: I see.

Panel 4: Johnny has burst into flames with a WHOMF
Johnny: I think it's getting worse.

Panel 1:
Johnny: Oh, Evangeline is it? That's a lovely song.
Natasha: Eve, is something wrong?

Panel 2: Evangeline is playing the violin and clearly struggling.
Natasha: Shouldn't you be done?
Evangeline: There's an instability. I'm trying to harmonize it.

Panel 3: Smoke is rising from Johnny
Johnny: Is it hot in here?

Panel 4: Johnny looks at the smoke rising from his hands. Natasha looks surprised.
Johnny: I don't mean to be rude, but I think she should stop now.
Natasha: Oh!

Panel 1:
Johnny: Well, Hello Nat. Can I ask you what on earth is happening?

Panel 2:
Natasha: What’s the last thing you remember?

Panel 3:
Johnny: I was sitting down to a nice fry up. Two sausages, two rashers of bacon, two hash browns, scrambled eggs and baked beans.

Panel 4: The salt circle at their feet blazes with energy.
Natasha: That sounds wonderful. Sorry for dragging you away from it. I’d offer to take you out for an Estavelle brunch, if this salt wasn’t here.

Johnny: Yes… the salt.

Panel 5:
Johnny: Why is the salt a problem?

Natasha: It won’t be, once Evangeline is done.

Panel 1: Johnny appears among sparkles.

Panel 2:
Johnny: Oh. Hello.

Panel 3:
Natasha: Are you... Johnny Wallbank?

Panel 4: Johnny looks at his hands
Johnny: Yeah, I guess so. And you are?

Panel 5:
Natasha: I am... somewhat surprised. But you can call me Nat.

Panel 1: A humanoid form appears in the circle, surrounded by musical notes.

Panel 2: Evangeline plays the violin with her eyes closed.

Panel 3: 
Natasha: This is taking forever.

Panel 1:
Evangeline: The point is, there's more to artifice than what the churches or the Sanctum say.

Panel 2:
Evangeline: Now stand back.

Panel 3: Evangeline begins playing her violin. Something is growing inside the salt circle.
Natasha: Nice song.
Evangeline: Shh.

Panel 1:
Evangeline: Well you're not wrong. This isn't how we normally summon demons.
Natasha: So what gives, then?

Panel 2:
Evangeline: Last year I got a book from Dimestore Novel.
Natasha: I remember! It was a music book!

Panel 3:
Evangeline: It was a lot more than that. It explained how to channel artifice through music. I didn't believe it at first, but it works! This could revolutionize-- Why are you looking at me like that?

Panel 4:
Natasha: What I'm hearing is we've both learned about summoning demons from a book!
Evangeline: Not the same!

Panel 1: Natasha and Evangeline look at a circle of salt drawn on the ground.
Evangeline: Okay, That should do it.
Natasha: That's it? Just a circle of salt?

Panel 2:
Natasha: I thought you needed, like, candles and runes and chanting and stuff?

Panel 3: Evangeline holds up her violin.
Evangeline: Nope, only other thing I need is my violin.
Natasha: That's not how it's normally done!

Panel 4: Evangeline pokes Natasha with her violin bow.
Evangeline: What, are you a summoning expert now?
Natasha: I've read about it a lot...

Panel 1: Natasha is on her knees pouring salt in a circle.
Evangeline (off-panel): I was thinking I would summon Johnny Wallbank.
Natasha: Oh.

Panel 2: Evangeline is vanishing the table and chairs with Artifice
Evangeline: Why the long face? I thought you liked those books.
Natasha: (off-panel) I do, but the Johnny that people summon isn't the same.

Panel 3: Natasha looks excited.
Evangeline: (off-panel) Well then I'll summon the book version instead.
Natasha: You can do that?

Panel 4:
Evangeline: That's what I want to find out. You made me read all those books so I think I can.
Natasha: Why didn't you say so earlier?!

Panel 1: Natasha and Evangeline stand in the back break room.
Natasha: Is this going to be enough room?
Evangeline: Yeah, as long as we move this table.

Panel 2:
Natasha: You're not going to make a mess, are you?
Evangeline: You worry too much.

Panel 3: Evangeline hands Natasha a container of salt.
Natasha: Not an answer.
Evangeline: Okay start pouring the salt circle.

Panel 1:
Evangeline: Fine. We'll do it in the break room. Come on, I have to be back in class after lunch.

Panel 2:
Natasha: Oh yeah, I forgot you still go to school.
Evangeline: You go to school too! Just not with me any more.

Panel 3:
Natasha: Do I?
Evangeline: Mr. E put you in some school by mail thing! You told me about it!

Panel 1: Natasha and Evangeline walking.

Natasha: don't you need a license to summon a demon?

Evangeline: Doy, that's why I'm doing it here.

Panel 2:

Virginia: No way. You're not summoning a demon in here.

Evangeline: Ugh, Nat, do something about your boss.

Natasha: What? Virginia’s not my boss…

Natasha: She's my… she's the uh…

Virginia: I'm your boss.

Natasha: No!

Panel 1: Evangeline is standing at the closed bathroom door.
Evangeline: Nat!
Natasha: (from inside) Be right out!

Panel 2: Every Nat is a separate word balloon.
Evangeline: Nat! Nat! Nat! Nat! Nat! Nat! Nat! Nat! Nat!

Panel 3: Natasha opens the door.
Evangeline: Nat!
Natasha: Hi, Evangeline.

Evangeline: Help me summon a demon!

Panel 1:

Virginia says, "Almost lunchtime." Natasha responds, "On that note, I gotta go use the toilet." Virginia responds, "I didn't need that much detail, but okay."

Panel 2:

Virginia glances around and pulls out a game boy.

Panel 3:

Virginia is playing the game boy while the front door dings.

Panel 4:

Evangeline says, "Hey Virginia, is Nat in?" Virginia responds, "She's using the toilet." Evangeline says, "I didn't need that much detail, but okay."

Panel 1: Natasha is standing in the bookshop talking to a man in a striped shirt holding a cane. His face is covered by a paper bag.

Panel 2: The man is leaving carrying a book titled "Where is he?" while Natasha waves goodbye in the foreground.

Panel 3: Natasha sits on the counter talking to Virginia. "What was his deal?" asks Virginia. "Not everyone is safe to be seen here," says Natasha, "but they still need our help. I think that book will really help him find himself."

Panel 1:

Virginia is at the register. "Where’d he go?" she asks. "I dunno," replies Natasha, "must've woke up or something."

Panel 2:

Virginia looks annoyed. "Without paying?" she asks. Natasha sadly responds, "…yeah."

Panel 3:

"Well, good thing you're friends with the princess." Virginia says cheerily, "You can go to Slumberland tonight and drop off an invoice." Natasha smiles and says, "Hah, you’re funny." but Virginia responds "No, I'm serious." in the same cheery voice.

Panel 4:

Dejected, Natasha says, "You’re a jerk."

Panel 1:

"Well," says Natasha, "let's get you checked out and on your way!" Nemo replies, "Okay!"

Panel 2:

Nemo has vanished. "Oh, great." says Natasha.

Panel 3:

Nemo is standing next to his bed on top of all his bedding, still holding the book. "Oh no!" says Nemo, "I didn't pay!" From off panel, a voice shouts, "You'll pay all right! No desserts for a week!"

Panel 1:

"You and Flip will never get lost as long as you have this bad boy!" Natasha excitedly says. "Dilly!" exclaims Nemo as he looks at the book in his hands.

Panel 2:

"Wait," says Nemo, "How do you know about Flip?" Natasha stammers, "Oh, uhh..."

Panel 3:

"Princess-" Natasha nervously prevaricates, "The Princess and I go way back. She told me all about you two." Nemo looks thoughtful. "Oh! Hmmm" he says.

Panel 4:

"I guess that's how you knew exactly what I needed!" shouts Nemo. "Heh heh, yep" replies Natasha.

Panel 1:

"I didn't know a book could be so important!" says Nemo.

Panel 2:

"The right book at the right time could change your life!" says Natasha.

Panel 3:

"I see it every day" she adds wistfully.

Panel 4:

"Now normally I like to let folks browse around to find their book." says Natasha, "It adds to the magic of it all."

Panel 5:

"But since you're here on a quest we can skip all that stuff," Natasha adds, "So here you go." Natasha holds out a book with the title The Atlas of Slumberland. "Woah" says Nemo.
