How was your month? Spooky? Yeah, mine too. I have been feeling out these fountain pens, trying to see what I can make of them. The Kaweco Perkeo I hoped would be my daily driver is not as great as I hoped. It's hard for my inexpert hands to put down smooth lines with it, I end up with too much ink at the start and end of my lines, ending up with things that look very much like my earliest attempts at inking before I discovered the Tombow Fudenosuke pens I've used for many years. At this point I'm still tending toward brush pens like those, but while I like the Kuretake Karappo for its refillability, I don't like its brush tip as much as the Tombow pens.

I have no intention to stop my experiments, in fact I recently ordered a Medium Platimum Preppy to see if I like that better than the Perkeo. I really like the pilot Kakuno other than the fact Extra Fine is way too freaking fine for the way I ink, so if the Platinum is also a bust I guess I'll bite the bullet and just get a Kakuno Medium (and maybe a Kakuno Fine for good measure).
